Hello!

Stego!!
The beginning of a new year symbolizes so much to so many people, all over the world. Everyone is planning out all the good they will accomplish in the coming year. Some will say, I plan to lose weight, and so gym memberships sky rocket and bagged spinach and brocoli are an hot item. Other's might plan to do more charity work in their community throughout this new year. It's sorta funny the way we look at the new year, we seem to feel as though it is a new beginning, a way to rid our minds and bodies of all the unhealthy eating, lazy days spent doing nothing.

I try to not set great expectations for myself because in the end of the year I wouldn't want to be disappointed in myself for not completing all my yearly tasks. I try to not think of it as a time to start over either, I'd rather look at it as if I were trying to improve on things that I improved on in the past year, continue to be better at those things.

Before the end of 2007 I was knitting an insane amount (predominately on Christmas items) and I had started to focus on being a bit more fit so I began taking a pilates class near my house. I am looking forward to all my upcoming knitting projects and I enjoy my pilates classes so much I can't see why I would discontinue them.

So my plans for the new year are simple. I would like to be in better physical and mental health before the upcoming wedding. I want to continue to make great strides in my ability to knit adorable knits for tots and hopefully I will graduate to making an adult garment of some kind. I really want to accomplish socks this year... I have to make it happen!

We had a relatively laid back New Year, Jordan, Shawn, Heidi and myself went out to eat at a local Mexican restaurant, then we came home to play board games, and we watched the ball drop. Nothing major at all. This was our sixth New Year's Eve together. We've come full circle since this is where we spent our first two together.

I hope that everyone had a fabulous New Year, no matter where you are, or what you did. Enjoy the first days of a wonderful new year!
