Wii

the prize

Jordan with his Bday gift!

Tonight at 11:30 Jordan saw an article on a website with internet links www.digg.com about Wal-Mart was going to have Wii's on Sunday, which for a 24 hour wal mart is 12:01 Sunday morning.

So in a flash I was back in somewhat normal clothes and we were on our way down 495-213-93 to get to the Super Wal-Mart in Salem NH. We got there and I jumped out to get in line. I was lucky #13 out of the 22 they were going to have. I was SO excited. Possibly more so than Jordan.

What is SO strange about all this would have to be that this exact same weekend last year is the same time we got our 360. Jordan's parents were up and a Wal-Mart in Tewksbury MA had them on the day of Jordan's birthday. So weird how it worked out that way.

So in the end his birthday weekend is turning out to be wonderful. Tomorrow we are going to Best Buy with our arsenil of best buy gift cards to get controllers and games.

I am so excited to go play- time for some Wii sports (the A-Train is awesome at some Wii bowling)

hope everyone is having as good of a weekend as us.

4am+insomnia=one completed knitting project

Completed on the balcony

to much his dismay I made him model it again

close up on my first project including ribbing...

I couldn't sleep last night, so I sat up and watched Jordan play Family Guy until around 4am. In this time I was able to complete the hat I was making for our friend Stephen in North Carolina. I made this hat a lot faster than I thought I could. I'm excited that it's completed because now I can begin another knitting project! Yay for me!

materials- Classic Elite Yarns, Lush ( that I got at a visit to one of my favorite yarn shops, Ewe'll Love It in Nashua NH. Jordan helped to pick it out....)

also
used my NEW denise cord that is a pretty pink to make this..

Red/Black Hat for Stephen

So I started this hat tonight using a pattern from my Holiday Knits book. It is a simple k2, p2 hat (it will be ribbed when complete) and I am trying to complete it ASAP before the south's winter is over. Stephen said he would like a black with a red base so I am working my fingers as fast as I can to get this hat on the roll.

Here are a couple progress pics of it-

Gregory baby hat COMPLETED!

The Umbilical cord of the hat

From the side....

An old friend of mine in NC is due any day now and I had promised her months ago that I'd make this hat- so last night I finally started it and tonight after my knitting group I completed it! I used Lion Brand yarn- Wool Ease on this project and it turned out so pretty. I love the little umbilical cord. This is the first I've made using the cord at the end. I did it sorta on my own, without following a pattern after the decreasing rows, I just guessed at it and it worked. (with a little phone guidance from Angie)

New Hat in the works

I am working on a baby hat for our neighbor who is due any day now- here is my progress as of 8pm tonight. It is a cream and light sagey green. I like it- I think it will be a great unisex cap for these winter months ahead.
