Surprise Snow

So we woke up today and to our surprise we had more snow. So all the white that had melted was replaced. I only took a few pics, and only one is really worth putting it up.

dreaming of a white Thanksgiving?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

We wish everyone the best turkey day ever. Hopefully everyone is enjoying parades and games on television and enjoying the company of family and friends this Thanksgiving. Today is the only day of the year that it is ok to stuff your face like an uncontrollable fool, so enjoy it. haha.

We awoke this morning to see a ground covered in snow, and the snow continuing to fall. We thought everyone might enjoy seeing our white thanksgiving. Everyone in NC, this is crazy especially since I can't remember ever having a white Christmas, so to have a white Thanksgiving feels very weird!

To all you people in Florida, I'm sure it's warm and sunny, like everyday, so you can't possible imagine the temps. we've felt over the past few days.

We miss everyone!

Happy Turkey Day!

Trim up the Tree...

The first strand is up

Oreo paying close attention to

The ATTACK! Oreo pounces from behind
the tree to grab the string of lights

The end result.

I've got that song stuck in my head. I've been listening to entirely too much holiday music. I guess I'm in a good holiday mood, not really stressing it. Trying to not think about the fact that we're here without any family for both holidays.

We got a real tree this year, and we put it up in the living room tonight and I went ahead and put the lights on it. I am very excited to have a real tree this year. I think it's been a while since we've had a real one. The apartment smells all festive now.

Oreo of course thinks we just gave her a miniature jungle. She's been using it as a fort, and she's made some accurate attacks from behind it. As long as she doesn't climb up it I'm ok with her using it as a play thing for the next month.

Last night we started having snow flurries at around 3 am and by 6 am our cars had a light dusting on them, but it didn't stay very long, even though it was VERY cold today. It continued to flurry until about 3 pm today, and nothing ever stuck or made an impact. We hope tomorrow it isn't bad, it's supposed to be rain/snow/strong winds....doesn't that sound like fun.

I made a cherry cheese cake tonight, and I am planning to take it tomorrow over to the Wyman's for dinner at their place. I hope they enjoy it, but i only made one, so everyone will only get tiny pieces. But it's my favorite thing so I decided to get it.

GIFTS

The Gift Pile has begun....now we just have to get a tree

not the best pic, but this is our baclony, and the
lights i put out there a few night's back

Possible Snow

So I was just watching the weather and they are saying possible snow this week. We'll have to wait and see, but it is crazy to think snow this early. Living in NC you just never had it this early, so it'll be different. If it happens I'll definitely have to take a lot of pictures to post so everyone in FL and NC can see our first snow.

I can only hope our Thanksgiving goes smoother than last years did. Last year the sweet potato casserole turned out horrible, and I've never gotten the nerve up to try it again. I don't know what to expect from a Thanksgiving dinner from the north. I am sure it is going to be much different though.

Gift wrapping is almost done. Hopefully we will get a tree up on Thursday, I'm ready to put one up and to decorate it and everything. I've already put up my lights on the balcony, and tonight I am thinking of putting up the other ones around our apt door.

the big 21st birthday

Jordan and I at Margarita's!

to enjoy in the new glasses

So last night was my birthday, and Jaime and Chris took me out for it. We went to a mexican restaurant in Salem NH called Margarita's. I got a sour apple margarita as my first ordered drink. It was very yummy and Jordan had ordered a Mad Melon margarita, i drank most of his second one of those. It was yummy.

Chris and Jaime gave me some margarita glasses, some Harry & David mix along with some tequila. I had one tonight and the mix was mighty tasty. Above are pictures from the night.

Jessica and Mark got me a gift certificate to my Creative Memories stuff so I am excited to work on some new pages. I can't wait to get a new printer so that I can get back to printing my own pics. I hope that I have some good pics for the fall pages i worked so hard on. I also hope that I get some nice thanksgiving pics.

Birthday plans

So I think for my birthday we are going to just go out to eat and I'll order my first legit drink in a restaurant! yay. I really want mexican food, something really good. too bad we don't live in NC right now because Monterrey's would be awesome. If we lived in FL i'd go to Ale House or Bahama Breeze because they both have awesome looking drinks. Jordan is going to make my birthday cake, scary! Haha, but I'm sure it will turn out great. He is prety good at stuff like that if he puts his mind to it.

So we went to Christian's dedication on Sunday, and it was a lot of fun. The church was like nothing we've ever been to, very liberal, and HUGE. They also sang a lot more than we are used to. We had fun with it though, it was nice to be in the church setting since we hadn't in so long. Afterwards Mark and Jessica had a get together at their house with family and friends. They served food and cake and it was all very good.

By the time we got home we were exhausted so we both fell asleep, and I woke up with a horrible migraine. So there went my sunday night. I missed all my favorite shows and everything. boo hoo.

I got my first package for my birthday. Angie got me some stuff from Creative Memories! YAY! I can't wait to get busy scrapbooking!

Well Christian should be waking up soon, so I am going to get back to that.

The Birthday Countdown

So my birthday is like 10 days away, so the countdown has begun. I've been enjoying my camera that Jordan got me. I am still learning the basic's with it, but it is pretty simple. I've got some pretty decent picutres of Christian, and Oreo with it. I went taking pictures of Newburyport the other day, and I got some nice ones. I will definitely take it with me next week when we go out for my 21st birthday!

I can't believe I am going to be 21, it just seems so weird to think that, and even more odd to say it. I guess I have just really gotten used to saying 20, so to say 21 is odd feeling.

I hope it is a pretty weekend because I'd like to go out and enjoy the fall some this weekend. I might have to cook the next apple pie that is in my fridge.

Sunday is Christian's dedication to the church, so that should be fun. Afterwards we are going to go back to Mark and Jessica's to enjoy a get together for that. It should be exciting to meet her family.

So it looks like we'll be making the trip home for Christmas. Most likely driving since we have so much to go home with us. I actually bought the first christmas present today. I got something small, but hey, one part of christmas for someone taken care of. haha. only 20+ to go. The best part about christmas shopping is that Katie is going in on gifts with us this year. That is goign to make it a lot easier for all of us.

10 days to go 'til my 21st!
