hand movements

So tonight was the Halloween party at Chris and Jaime's house, and it was rather fun. We had finger foods and tons of candy. Everyone was dressed up, although I don't really have a lot of pics because my memory card only holds 13 pictures. Fun stuff uh. But I did try to get some good ones, but somehow I never got one of Jaime and Chris together, I guess I will have to get someone else to send it to me.

So Enjoy our halloween images!

Oh and by the way you Mighty Morphin Power Ranger fans of the first couple years, Mr. Fielding was Zordon in the show! Yeah, and we wondered why he looked familiar! haha..

It's SNOWING

Ok, so today is October 29th and we woke up to it snowing outside. How crazy is that? I don't think I've ever seen snowflakes as big as these were either. It was rain, and snow mixed, and nothing was sticking, but it was cool to see snow.

Tonight is the Halloween party at Chris and Jaime's house. It should be fun. I am going as a chic from the 80's and Jordan is going to be Arthur from the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Sounds like tons of fun. I am looking forward to, all but the fact that it is FREEZING outside.! haha

We will post some pics later after we've got home etc. I can't wait to use my new camera to take pics tonight of everyone all dressed up for halloween.

Cider Hill Farm & Our first Noreaster

Cider Hill Farm is in Amesbury MA, near Newburyport and it's just a normal farm. There were pumpkins, apples and carolina raspberries in season. I also got some cider from there country store, and it was so yummy.

After picking about 30 apples we went back to their home in Newburyport and we made apple pies. We each made 2 and they turned out awesome. Within the first night Jordan and I had almost finished off the first pie. It was so good. I think we'll save our second one though until Katie comes up again or something.

I think Christian enjoyed
his day out

How about this crazy weather? After Wilma hit Florida she rushed her way up here and we had a Noreaster, which was extremely messy weather. The wind was something fierce, the rain was heavy, and the temps were burr. In New Hampshire, Vermont, upper state New York, and Pennsylvania there was a lot of snow. Our friends in Boone NC, have even said they had snow. I checked the temperatures there and it was colder there than here in Methuen. Some serious Burr, thick jacket time, weather.

YAY! My new camera came today. I got a Canon Powershot A520. It's a 4MP small digital camera, but I wanted a small one of my own to do my own thing with. It seems to be pretty simple to use. I've been reading the book on it tonight. I am hoping it's pretty enough tomorrow to take it out and take pictures with, maybe around Newburyport or here. I need to post some images of our town on here. I am pretty sure that nobody has really seen our little town.

Well I am going to get busy reading this manual. I hope to have some new images up within a day or two.

The Leaves are falling

So the fall is definitely here. The jackets are being worn and the scarves are being tied up tight around my neck in the mornings. It is definitely the fall here in Methuen. Meanwhile we here from our friends in Florida and they are talking about 90 degree weather and Hurricane Wilma. I am glad we aren't there dealing with their version of fall weather.

Halloween is about a week away and we've got our costumes together for the most part. I'm going to be an 80's chick and Jordan is going to be the main character from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. So we are both going to be pretty relaxed with our costumes i guess. I'm excited about it, but not sure if Jordan is. I think he really wanted to be something complicated and we just didn't put the energy into it this year. I'll have my new camera by then so I should have tons of pictures posted from it. I haven't posted any recently, mainly because nothing has been happening.

I did go apple picking with Jessica and Christian this past Thursday which was soo much fun, and I hope that the pictures turn out great from that. I will get them back tomorrow. I know she took a couple before we left from Cider Hill Farms. The farm was very pretty, all the trees had changed colors and everything. It was a windy day, and it was precious because each time a gust would hit Christian he would squeal, but whenever the sun would hit his face or whenever i'd look at him he'd laugh and giggle. I definitely think he enjoyed his day out.

Jordan and I are planning our Christmas trip home to NC. We are going to try and go home for about a week. We just want to see everyone and have a normal holiday together. I've already started on our Christmas cards, since I make them by hand it takes a while. I think they are coming along pretty fast considering how long I've been working on them.

Well I'll post the pics from Apple Picking as soon as I get them.

Hope everyone is enjoying their fall!

The smell of Fall

Over the past week or so we've had several days and nights that have felt like fall. In the evening you get that feeling, it's a feeling you can't explain, but you can feel in your bones, and it screams to you fall is on it's way here. It reminds me of being a little kid, when you just start becoming aware of the seasons changing, probably around first grade. It makes me think of playing in the woods near our house and how I used to love it when I would come in and my nose and face would be chilled from the cool air setting in.

Living in Florida really made me miss the fall. I think Jordan and I both are rather ready for the cooler weather to be around us. I dont' think we are ready for the winter here yet though. We need to have the honda serviced and snow tires put on. We also need more winter clothes. It's awful, we have such a small selection of winter clothes here, we've both gotten more jeans, but we need under armor and sweaters. Jordan needs a new jacket for the cold weather, and I may get one eventually to help keep me warm.

I am ready for something of winter I guess, but it's kinda scary to think of what the winter will be here. We've never experienced a winter here before and so neither of us know what to expect really. I guess we will adjust as it comes in. I know we will like it until it's like April and it is still snowing. HAHA. oh well better than florida.
